Do or Do Not, There Is No Try

Hey guys, Squid here!

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Squid, I'm a 20-something nerd and I currently live with my boyfriend and our fur-family in the great Pacific Northwest. Why Squid? I'm not sure, really.

I started this blog because this year I want to challenge myself to step outside of the box and do some things I've never done before, and I'd like to take you with me on this journey, to allow you to witness my failures. I'm just gonna be blunt. I'm expecting to fail, A LOT, this year, and that's okay.

What kind of things will you be witnessing? Well, that I can't say, because I don't have too many ideas, but I can say that I've led a very sheltered life so far. I live in a fairly small town, but I'm so willing to break away from this sleepy town and test my boundaries and challenge myself, and I'm hoping that you'll stick with me throughout. But I do have a few things planned so far, like trying sashimi, going to a game night at my local comic book store, and traveling! My plan is to do things on the cheap, as well, so I'll likely be talking about finances and how I plan things on a budget.

So consider this the first thing I've never tried: I have never had a blog, because I haven't. I actually have no real idea what I'm doing, and I imagine that will be the theme of the year. I'm hoping I'll be able to learn about different things and that I won't fail too hard this year, and obviously I'm hoping you'll join me (by reading the blog, not by failing). Who knows, maybe you'll try new things too!
